The game gave the kill to the Storm Imp that shot the Pot, rather than the Pot itself. I got a Blue Dragonscale Shield from a Crystal Chest (other options were a Long Bow and an Enchantment Scroll.) I then finished it off with my Inferno Sword. I Life Spiked a Ballista and sent a Skeleton after it. A grand kaboom with flame and smoke, and almost everything died. The Pyro shot out oil, the Bomber bombed it. In Iron Fortress, a Pyro and a Bomber teamed up to kill almost everything in the room besides me. I died to a Storm Imp shooting a Fire Pot. I went to Iron Fortress, then to Dark Temple, fought some elves. There are light sources as dungeon furniture and in the hands of creatures, and these both can be lit and unlit.I had a necro run where I picked up an Inferno Sword in 1/16 and had a Necro Melee hybrid run. Creatures are not silent either, but comment on things with speech bubbles. Most creatures can use items, and can also pick them up from the dungeon floor. The dungeon denizens act intelligently, fight each other, flee when threatened, and try to gather their friends to overcome a threat. Diversely shaped levels with themed content (throne rooms, prisons, hidden treasure caches, etc.) with good connectivity between the areas. Something more than just empty rooms and corridors. The game tries to create a dungeon which feels alive, eventful, and rich in content. Thematically Zorbus draws influence from the late 70s and early 80s tabletop D&D campaigns, adventures and lore. Zorbus does not have item identification or a hunger mechanic. You can save the game, but the save file is deleted when loaded. The game uses permadeath, meaning that when a character dies, it really is permanent, and the player must begin a new game.
